Flexible MDF

Flexible panels are essential when producing a job with a curve. They allow you to create complex curved designs with minimal effort. R P Panels keeps stock of a number of flexible panels giving you a plenty of options when deciding how to construct and how to finish your curved project. Flexible MDF FlexiMDF is similar to Flexiply in function but gives a far smoother finish on the face making for better painting. FlexiMDF is produced by precision machining grooves along one face of the board creating an artificial “grain” and causing the panel to flex in a single direction. As with the Flexiply, the FlexiMDF will create an arc that is perpendicular to the grain direction of the face. Flexible Plywood

Flexible Plywood Flexiply is probably the most widely used flexible product on the market. It has a specialised construction, allowing it to be easily bent to shape. The arc formed by the bend is perpendicular to the grain direction of the face and the exact bending radii have to be determined in accordance with the type of surface finishing required and the extent of the surface to be treated. Hardboard

We keep a range of hardboard in stock in our warehouse in Hoddesdon, available for collection or delivery. We also offer collections directly from the quay subject to minimum orders. Available in 3mm and 6mm and as raw, oil tempered and white faced. Some thickness/finish combinations will be subject to lead times and minimum orders. MDF

Medium Density Fibreboard, otherwise known as MDF, has become one of the most recognisable expressions in construction and design applications. R P Panels keeps an extensive range of MDF at our depot in Hoddesdon. With many options for a wide range of applications, whatever your job requires we have you covered. Moisture resistant chipboard

R P Panels offers a range of chipboard, otherwise known as particleboard, either from stock or to order. Particleboard is cheaper, denser and more uniform than conventional wood and plywood and is substituted for them when appearance and strength are less important than cost. However, particleboard can be made more attractive by painting or the use of wood veneers that are glued onto surfaces that will be visible. Particleboard is very prone to expansion and discolouration due to moisture, particularly when it is not covered with paint of another sealer. Therefore, it is rarely used outdoors or places that have very high levels of moisture. Moisture resistant chipboard: R P Panels keeps Moisture Resistant Chipboard as stock. Stock size is 18mm 3050 x 1250 but other sizes available to order – subject to lead time & minimum orders. OSB

P Panels is a main distributor for SMARTPLY. We offer a wide range of OSB from stock. OSB, or Oriented Strand Board is a cost effective alternative to plywood, used in structural situations where aesthetics are less important than price. Certified & Sustainably sourced. T&G Chipboard flooring

TruStud® has been through a process to pick out and remove any imperfections in the timber that would normally cause twisting and warping, like splits and bad knots. The timbers are then finger-jointed back together to produce a far superior product. Trustud® is arrow straight, which allows you to easily use all of the timber without the substantial amount of waste that you get from conventional timbers, whilst also making it far easier to use.
